It is almost here. 18 months later, this dream is finally coming to fruition. It is really very crazy. Most mornings I wake up and think, “Holy sh*t. This is actually going to happen.” This feeling is like nothing I have felt before; a combination of anxiety, anticipation, excitement, stress.
In this last week, I am finalizing my packages, hiking plans, and gear lists. As with every trip I have ever gone on, I cannot help but to feel there is something I am forgetting. I know there are pieces of my first-aid kit I need to acquire and perhaps buying an extra pair of shoes now to send myself later, but honestly, after the months of preparation, I have almost everything I need. The only things I really MUST do before I leave is laundry, cleaning my room and car, and packing my pack.

This is one of the last tasks I have to do. Divide up my food into proper proportions and divvy them up into these boxes. A total of 64 days worth of food for two people into 12 boxes. Not daunting, at all. And yes, those are Girl Scout cookies.
For those of you who wish to send me care packages, here is the list of places we will be resupplying and APPROXIMATE dates of arrival. Depending on our hiking speed, we may be arriving a week before or a week after. The earlier you send boxes, the better. I have also provided the link from the Pacific Crest Trail website about resupply spots. They recommend calling the place ahead of time to verify they accept packages.
Until next time. ⇒&⇑

Can’t wait to hear his your 1st day(s) go!
